| How to Listen to the Bazaar |
The Bazaar's shows are approximately two hours each. You can listen to any part of the show by dragging the player's 'pointer'. We try to follow an outline for each week's broadcast:
- 0:00-0:10 Introductory essay and banter.
- 0:10-0:30 Thematic material, new releases, more banter, appreciations, and rants.
- 0:30-1:30 Composer interview. Extended theme if no interview.
- 1:30-2:00 Thematic material, mixes, more rants -- and Best of the Bazaar (about every 5 shows).

Beginning with Show #298, streams have been upgraded from RealAudio 5 to RealAudio 8.5 (G2). We apologize if this is an inconvenience; it annoys us when we have to upgrade players, too. We've kept RA5 streams for a number of years, but the quality of 28.8 streaming has improved enough to justify the switch to 8.5/G2. There's also a Real Encoder 5 incompatibility with Windows DirectX 8, so we purchased Real Producer 8.5 Plus (your contributions to offset the cost, please?) to provide compatibility with as many earlier RA players as possible. At this point we will not be re-encoding earlier shows, some of which go back to RealAudio 3. (Hey, some of the audio clips on our composer pages go back to RealAudio 1.0!)
